Companies can use the API to build their own interface and make Highfollower features available to their teams within their websites and business tools.
Build an Instagram communication workspace on your website. Display messages, comments and contacts with your company’s design and branding.
Connect Instagram messages and comments to your support portal so agents can reply and mark handled conversations as resolved from the same interface.
Sync contact information and tags with your internal system, and view existing Flow analytics in your company’s internal dashboard.
Features you can add to your website with the API
Your development team can implement these capabilities on your company website or dashboard.
Read profiles, collected fields and tags. Sync changed contacts and update their tags from your application.
Read Instagram conversations and messages, send text replies, and mark conversations as resolved after handling them.
Retrieve Instagram comments and replies by post, and send text responses from your team's workspace.
Retrieve performance, daily trends and goal reach for existing Flows to use in application reports.
Automatic events for your website
When a message or comment arrives, or contact information changes, Highfollower sends a webhook to your website server so you can display it in your dashboard or update the customer record.
Your company website server receives the new message event. You can display the message in your support portal so an agent can reply from there.
Your development team implements event handling and display on your website using the API documentation.
Getting connected
Create a Highfollower connection and share the documentation with your company’s development team to implement the features on your website.
Create a named connection in Settings, then select pages you own and the permissions your application needs.
Your development team stores the API key on your company website server and uses the documentation to implement data retrieval and replies in your dashboard.
Set your website’s webhook receiving URL, send a test event and enable event handling and data synchronization.
Select pages and permissions for each connection. Rotate the key or disable a connection at any time.
Each update includes a security check your application can use to verify it came from Highfollower and has not been changed.
Some temporary failures are retried. The setup guide helps your developer avoid recording the same update twice.
Yes. Your development team can use the Highfollower API to implement contacts, Instagram messages and comment replies, and existing Flow analytics on your website or custom dashboard. You design your own interface and connect through your website server.
This version supports reading and replying to Instagram direct messages and comments. Contact information and Flow analytics are available according to the page's platform.
You can retrieve existing Flows and their performance, including daily trends and goal reach. Creating, editing and publishing Flows takes place in the Highfollower dashboard.
Each connection is restricted to pages you own and the permissions you select. Pages shared with you by a team cannot be delegated to a application.
Some temporary failures are retried up to eight attempts. Delivery history stays in the dashboard for 30 days, and you can retry failed deliveries.
Each connection allows up to 120 requests per minute, with a shared limit of 240 requests per minute per IP. Replies require an active page, a valid provider connection and sufficient credit. Flow analytics respect your plan's history retention.
API and webhooks are included in Growth with 3 active connections and Pro with 10. The Growth trial includes these features too.
