Instagram comment-to-DM: from a keyword to a reply
Send a product link or details when a new comment matches your keyword, then inspect automation execution history.
Create comment-to-DM flowSections in this guide
Set it up in four steps
- 1
From ready-made flows, choose Comment to DM.
- 2
Choose the page and post.
- 3
If only one keyword matters, enter that keyword. Do not add a keyword condition if all comments should qualify.
- 4
Write the direct message that should be sent to the user and activate the flow.
A simple example
In the caption, write “Comment ‘price’ to receive the price.” Set the start condition to “price” and write a direct message such as “Hi, here is the pricing information…”
Note:First configure and test the flow for one post and one keyword. Then enable it for more posts.
Example: send a product link
- 1
Choose one post and ask readers to comment “link” to receive the product link.
- 2
Select that post and the keyword “link” in the comment-to-DM flow.
- 3
Write a short reply with a destination that matches the promise in your caption.
- 4
Activate the flow and send a new matching comment from another account.
- 5
Inspect execution history and check the recipient account for the message.
Note:Activating a flow does not automatically reply to historical comments. Start this scenario with a new comment.
Keep in mind:For a failed execution, inspect its error, page connection and access. DM delivery is subject to platform limits.
