Build a flow from scratch
If the ready-made options do not cover what you need, build the flow yourself step by step.
Create flowSections in this guide
Start by answering only these three questions
- What should start the flow? For example, a direct message or comment.
- What should happen first? For example, send a message.
- What should happen after that? End, send another message, or branch based on the user’s reply.
Note:If you know the answers to these three questions, you already have most of the flow map.
Build it step by step
- 1
From the flows page, choose Create flow.
- 2
Choose the start type, such as a direct message or comment.
- 3
Set the start condition, for example when the message contains “price”.
- 4
Add the next step, such as sending a message to the user.
- 5
Add another step if needed, such as collecting information, a condition, or AI.
- 6
In the review section, check the path once from start to finish, then save and activate it.
When is the visual flow editor better?
Use the quick flow for simple tasks. If your workflow has several different paths, the visual editor makes it easier to see all steps at once.
Keep in mind:A more complex flow is not automatically a better flow. Keep using the quick flow while it meets the need.
